morkul said:
Let me ask you this Retzam?, how can you like the White Stripes more than Slipknot or DMB. I mean Carter Beauford is a world reconized drummer and is beyond excellent. Slipknot, yeah they are who they are but they blow the White Stripes out of the fuckin water anyday. It's not even a competition. That shit ain't music bro. Please tell me you were joking.
Well, since neither of us really care about Slipknot, this sentence you are reading right now is the only one that will mention there name in this post. I think you misread me. I did not say that DMB sucks, and I think Carter is a damn good drummer. I just don't really prefer that style of music that's all, and I don't really like Dave's voice. Personal preference. The reason I prefer the White Stripes over them is because they (the White Stripes) are very reminisent of older, 60s and 70s blues rock, like early zeppelin or the dead, which I am quite fond of. It all comes down to personal preference, not who has more talent. Christina Aguilera, Eminem, maybe 50 Cent, they all have talent, but I don't like their music at all, so I don't listen to them. If everyone listened to music just based on how much talent the musician's had, do you think pop music would have ever come to be?? We'd all be listening to classical right now. Alllll personal preference. I'd like to take this time to note that I said the phrase "personal preference" three times in this post, actually, four now. Strangely comedic...
