My landlord's cat just pissed on the lint screen opening of our dryer. It fuckin reeks inside the dryer now. I'm going to fuckin punt the thing when i see it.
Cat's don't give a shit about humans. they are truly self sufficient and don't need us. they are not cuddly and loveable. When they rub on you they are rubbing their scent on you and basically marking you as their territory. Fuck em. I hate em.

John, our black/white cats do look a lot alike. Not in the face so much as thier fur color patterns or whatever it's called.

my cat is awesome. he's an attention whore shit machine, but he's awesome. i love dogs too but as said many times above, dogs are a lot of work and can't be left alone for long periods of time. i'm gone like 14 hours a day. Fatty can take care of himself.

i disagree to a degree; not ALL dogs can't be left alone for long periods of time. some dogs can fend for themselves for quite sometime, depending on the breed. but it's not how they've adapted and evolved with humans, so in short, they do need more attention than cats.
however, the benefits of that kind of relationship outweigh the cons extremely. I was more sad when my old dog died than when some people die.

what i was saying was dogs evolved differently than cats in relation to their dependencies on humans. cats supposedly used to hang out around human camps and have always been "in the shadow;" whereas dogs (there was an article in national geographic last week) were first used to hunt with the humans, and were perhaps even used as food themselves. dogs and humans evolved together where we both needed eachother to survive, and that kind of relationship is why dogs are dependent.
if you look at wolves, it's the same thing - they are a pack species, while felines are not (in most cases)

not true, as far as I know. Persians are the laziest cats ever. they never jump up on things and remain pretty docile their whole lives, even as kittens. They don't mind other cats in the home, but they will only really latch on to one person and remain pretty indifferent towards everyone else.

Unless you have a dog that never shits, NO. My parents thought this way, bought a dog and got fucking "wee-wee pads" and left them all over the house. Nice. Coming home and smelling dogshit through the whole house, and the dog was a lonely and half-retarded wreck. All dogs need exercise, and all dog-poop belongs outside. Always. if you are getting a ferret, you should get two of them so they can bond and have a friend to slumber with (they sleep like 18 hrs a day). they can die of lonliness if they are raised alone. I have two of them and they are amazing. its funny when they get super hyper and run around the house like crazy. they also sleep in hammocks which is pretty funny.
i want a fennec fox but they illegal in MA.

Have you ever read up on dog intelligence? Not just with dogs, but with all animals rather. Just like humans, there are dumb animals and smart animals.
There was a dog intelligence chart which was organized by breed, but they primarily based it off of how many human commands they can remember. The Border Collie remembers well over 100, maybe even 200 commands from a human.
But they've also stated that dog intelligence can't be based off of known human commands either.
It is a well-accepted fact in the scientific community now that dogs are smarter than we think they are. They read humans like a book, and can read facial and body language better than Chimps.

I agree, Dogs aren't dumb.
A lot of popular dogs in the 15-25lb range are generally not all that smart. A lot of that is due to shitty breeders in the area and shitty owners.
I'm just suggesting New Zealands are an often overlooked alternative.
And the amount of those fuckers who are dropped on shelters after Easter is obscene. Fuck people.
